Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has emerged as an influential star campaigner for the BJP in the Bihar Assembly elections. His campaign tours, public meetings, and road shows not only energized the party cadre but also played a crucial role in making a deep impact on undecided voters. Dhami’s strong administrative image, youthful leadership, and powerful oratory have made him a prominent figure in Bihar’s election environment.
In his speeches, Dhami repeatedly cited Uttarakhand’s good governance model, highlighting points such as crackdown on corruption, prompt administrative reforms, and strengthening law and order. He stated that “strict and transparent governance is only a matter of will,” and that only the BJP has the capacity to implement such policies. These points resonated positively with both rural and urban communities.
Dhami’s aggressive stance on the issue of Islamization of education was the most discussed issue in the election debate. He accused the opposition of lax policies that had led to the rise of radical influence in the education system. Referring to the Uttarakhand government’s survey and demolition of illegal madrasas, he said, “It is the government’s constitutional responsibility to keep education free from radicalism.” Dhami’s statement resonated widely with young voters and BJP supporters in Bihar and quickly went viral on social media.
Political analysts say that Dhami’s oratory skills, his ability to present issues clearly, and his administrative achievements have made him an effective campaigner at the national level. The larger-than-expected turnout at his rallies in Bihar confirms this impact. Young voters, in particular, were impressed by his image of “tough decision-making leadership.”
According to BJP strategists, Dhami’s visits have created a favorable atmosphere for the party in several seats and paved the way for a “greater-than-expected lead” in the electoral equations. The party plans to project him as a prominent face in the upcoming election campaigns. Overall, Dhami’s visit to Bihar has provided a strategic advantage for the BJP, contributing to a decisive turn in its favor. CM Dhami campaigned in the Gaurikothi, Siwan, Warsaliganj, Kalyanpur, and Harsiddhi assembly constituencies during the Bihar elections.
