Dehradun: Cricketer Sneh Rana, a member of the Women’s Cricket World Cup-winning team and a pride of Uttarakhand, paid a courtesy call to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence. Special Principal Secretary for Sports Amit Sinha was also present on the occasion. Chief Minister Dhami heartily congratulated Sneh Rana on the Indian women’s cricket team’s impressive victory, stating that this achievement is a matter of pride for the entire country and Uttarakhand. He said that Sneh Rana has brought glory to the country and the state on the world stage with her outstanding performance and perseverance.
The Chief Minister said that players like Sneh Rana are a source of inspiration for the daughters of Uttarakhand. He said that the state government is committed to providing every possible support and encouragement to talented athletes. Through the sports policy, athletes are being provided with all the facilities like training, jobs, and financial assistance.
