Delhi/Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon visit the disaster-affected areas of Uttarakhand. Amid the heavy losses in the disaster, the state has sought special assistance of Rs 5702 crore from the Center. The series of disasters that started from Dharali in Uttarkashi on August 5 in the state is still continuing.
Hundreds of villages have been damaged due to cloudburst, landslides and land subsidence. Many people are still living in relief camps. Meanwhile, on Monday, the central team is also coming to Uttarakhand to visit the disaster-affected areas of the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been in constant touch with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding disasters. Now he is likely to visit Uttarakhand soon. Preparations for this have been started. PM Modi can visit some disaster-affected areas or can also do an aerial survey. It is not decided yet. According to official sources, there is information about PM Modi’s arrival but the program is still awaited. Information is likely to come from the PMO in this regard soon.
