New Delhi: Following the repatriation of Union Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena (IAS: 1989: BH) the Centre on Sunday assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Coal to V L Kantha Rao (IAS: 1992: MP). Currently, Rao is working as Secretary, Ministry of Mines. Rao will hold the additional charge of Coal till the appointment of a regular Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.
The notification of the decision drew the attention of readers across sections as it revealed that Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS: 1997: AGMUT) started functioning as the Establishment Officer, Department of Personnel & Training. A section of whos who says that he has been given the additional charge of EO vice Deepti Umashankar (IAS: 1993: HY) after she joined as Secretary to President of India.
