CM took update of arrangements to deal with snowfall and cold wave, instructed to keep data of pregnant women

Dehradun: Due to rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand, there is severe cold. Along with this, the outbreak of cold wave is being seen in the plains. Regarding this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with the officials of the concerned department on Monday. During the meeting, CM Dhami directed to take all effective measures to prevent cold wave. Along with this, instructions have been given to take full vigilance to prevent cold wave and to provide all necessary facilities to those staying in night shelters in the districts.

CM Dhami has asked the senior officers of the government, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of the districts to inspect the arrangements of night shelters from time to time. In view of the cold wave, asked to provide blankets, gloves, socks and other essential items to the needy. People should also be informed through various means about the places where arrangements for bonfires have been made at night in the districts.

CM Dhami said that it should be ensured that the roads are not blocked for long due to snowfall. In areas where there is heavy snowfall, proper management of the necessary resources should be done to remove snow from the roads.

Instructions to expedite road construction works

The CM instructed the District Magistrates to keep complete data of pregnant women in the districts in view of the winter, so that in case of any emergency, medical facilities can be provided to them as soon as possible. In view of the cold wave, instructions were also given to make necessary arrangements for destitute animals. During the meeting, he instructed the officials to expedite the road construction work going on in various areas of the state. During the meeting, the CM took information from all the District Magistrates about the arrangements made in the districts to protect against the cold wave.

Instructions for arrangements for devotees at winter stay sites

The Chief Minister instructed the officials in the meeting to ensure that the benefits of the government schemes are given only to the eligible persons. All the District Magistrates should also ensure that no person takes advantage of the government schemes in the wrong way. Instructed to make all necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees at the winter stay sites of Badirnath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri and its surrounding areas.
