Dearness Allowance Gift to Public Sector Undertaking Employees, CM Dhami Grants Financial Approval

Dehradun: The dearness allowance for employees working in Uttarakhand’s public sector undertakings/corporations/bodies has been increased. The Seventh Pay Commission is applicable in these public sector undertakings. Consequently, the Chief Minister has approved an increase in the dearness allowance for regular employees from the current rate of 55% to 58% of the basic salary, effective July 1, 2025, similar to that of government employees.

In addition, the Chief Minister has approved the release of ₹54.72 crore for the provision of free textbooks to students in grades 9 to 12 in government and non-government-aided secondary schools in the financial year 2025-26.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved an amount of Rs 57.14 crore for the payment of salaries for the last four months of the current financial year 2025-26 to the personnel working in 21 non-government colleges under the Higher Education Department. Under the state plan for the approval of works/schemes related to the Maa Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra, Rs 32.69 crore has been approved for the improvement of the Dewal Mundoli Van motor road in the Tharali assembly constituency of Chamoli district and Rs 15.06 crore has been approved for the asphalting and improvement work of the Gwaldam-Nandkesari state road in the Tharali development block. The CM has approved 13 Irrigation Department schemes worth Rs 30.54 crore in all the districts under NABARD funding, 16 Irrigation Department schemes worth Rs 39.05 crore in all the districts, 13 Irrigation Department schemes worth Rs 25.76 crore in several districts and 31 Public Works Department projects worth Rs 175.61 crore in several districts. Besides, under the state scheme, Rs 20 lakh has been approved for the new construction of the motor road from a place called Ksheena to Mangoti via Siddhababa Temple on the Poth-Kotakendri-Selagad motor road in Champawat Assembly constituency of Champawat district. Along with this, under Manaskhand (State Plan), approval has been given for sanctioning an amount of Rs. 4.34 crore for the improvement work of 1.50 lane road of Bageshwar area of ​​Kosi-Hawalbag-Manan-Someshwar-Kausani-Garud-Baijnath motor road in Bageshwar assembly constituency of Bageshwar district, Rs. 38.76 lakh for construction of Ralam to Ralam glacier track route in Pithoragarh district and Rs. 33.04 lakh for construction of permanent helipad and road from Tamli motor road to Government Inter College Manch in Champawat district.
